Tracy Rocker, born on April 9, 1966, is a former professional football player turned coach who currently serves as the defensive line coach for the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFL. Rocker had an impressive college career playing for Auburn University and was recognized as one of the greatest defensive linemen in college football history. In 1988, he received the Lombardi Award and the Outland Trophy, becoming the first SEC player to win both accolades. He was later inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2004.

Rocker's football journey began at Fulton High School in Atlanta, where he played under the guidance of Coach Willie Hunter. He continued his football career at Auburn University, where he achieved significant success as a defensive tackle. He was a two-time All-American and a three-time All-SEC selection. Rocker was named SEC Player of the Year during his senior season and finished his college career with impressive statistics, including 354 tackles, 21 quarterback sacks, and 48 tackles for loss. Auburn won two conference titles during his tenure, and he was recognized as a key member of the school's Team of the Century in 1993.

In the 1989 NFL Draft, Rocker was selected by the Washington Redskins in the third round. He played two seasons in the NFL before his career was cut short by a knee injury. After his playing days, Rocker embarked on a coaching career, starting with Auburn High School and then moving on to various college teams. He coached at West Alabama, Troy State, Cincinnati, Arkansas, Ole Miss, and Auburn, among others. He made significant contributions to the development of talented players and played a vital role in the success of several programs. Rocker also gained coaching experience in the NFL as a part of the Tennessee Titans' staff.

In 2021, Rocker joined the Philadelphia Eagles as the defensive line coach. In his first year with the team, he played a crucial role in developing standout players like Javon Hargrave and Josh Sweat, who both earned Pro Bowl selections. The Eagles' defense performed exceptionally well, ranking second overall and registering a record-breaking number of sacks. Rocker's coaching expertise and ability to mentor players have made him a respected figure in the football community.

Off the field, Rocker is married to Lalitha, and they have a son named Kumar, who the Texas Rangers drafted in the 2022 MLB Draft. Rocker's contributions to the sport, both as a player and a coach, have earned him recognition and accolades throughout his career.
